Grief and Caring Ministry

MINISTRY BIBLE VERSE: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting.”
1 Corinthians 15:55 NIV

“…I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.” Jeremiah 31:13 NIV

Our Mission and Purpose

To help those who are grieving to find hope and healing so they can rebuild their lives with a renewed sense of purpose for living the Christian life with comfort and joy.

  • Reach out to the bereaved via visits, phone calls, cards and correspondence.
  • Follow-up with the bereaved by being there for them; praying with them; and listening to them as they proceed through the grief process.
  • Assist the bereaved in finding professional care if needed.

Goals

1. Provide periodic training for all members of the ministry, by Identifying simple, practical and meaningful ways of extending comfort and care to those who are grieving from the passing of a loved one.

2. To provide support group sessions to help those grieving to move towards healing through God’s Word

3. To provide training to other lay Christians interested in joining the Grief and Caring Ministry

4. Offer Annual Seminar to the congregation on Journeying through Grief.
